Technical Programmes Client Engineer - India The person recruited to this position will work within the SeaChange International - TV Navigator: Technical Programmes Team based in India.

TV Navigator is a leading IPTV middleware for digital Set Top boxes, which provides a TV application development environment for broadcasters, network operators and tele-media content companies.

* Technical Programmes Engineer will perform professional on-site. The emphasis will be on customer service, technical proficiency and self initiative. The candidate will have cable television or telecom industry experience.
* Work with third party vendors to port, integrate and test TV navigator software
* Provide professional oral and written system status to customer, company management and engineering
* Actively participate in any customer conference calls
* Assist engineering in the implementation and testing of new products
* Provide skills and product training to customer
* Troubleshoot very extensive and complex client server systems with the ability to resolve root cause issues and document the problem and resolution
* BS in EE/CS, related technical field or equivalent job experience required; MS in EE/CS preferred.
* 7+ years experience in software development for real-time; and/or 5+ embedded systems required.
* Advanced proficiency with ANSI C/C++ required.
* Experience developing core technologies for cable/satellite/terrestrial or IPTV set-top box software strongly preferred.
* JavaScript and/or Java experience strongly preferred.
* RTOS programming experience strongly preferred.
* TCP/IP networking, video, and/or graphics programming experience strongly preferred.
* PVR or VOD experience strongly preferred.
* HTML, CSS, DOM interpreter/parser experience preferred.
* MPEG 2, MPEG 4 or H264, DVB experience preferred.
* STB Middleware experience necessary.
* Implemented Java Middleware on CLDC or CDC VM for Set Top or Customer Device.

Position to be located in: Delhi

* Excellent communications skills
* Extensive coding as primary function with ability to manage individual technology projects as well.
* Knowledge of head-ends, DVB and open cable standards a plus.
* U.S. Citizen or permanent resident required.
* Up to 80% travel, both domestic and international Bachelors Degree or equivalent Must be a Indian citizen or permanent resident Fluent in Hindi and English, oral and written.
